Trombette Courgettes in Extra Virgin Olive Oil 180 g Novaro

Another typical product of Liguria: they owe their name to their form, being long and thin with a rounded end, similar to a “trombetta” (small trumpet). They are typically light green in colour with a delicate and sweet flavour, being crunchier and denser than normal courgettes. The trombetta courgette is used in a wide variety of dishes in Ligurian cuisine and can even be eaten raw.

Our Trombette courgettes are cut into sticks, boiled in water and vinegar and then jarred in extra virgin olive oil.

Uses
Excellent as a starter, to accompany aperitifs and to garnish more elaborate dishes.

Storage instructions
Store in a cool dry place, away from heat sources. Once opened, keep refrigerated (+4°C) and consume within 3 days.
